Ryan Gosling says women are better than men

Hey girl, a female-dominated household is just plain better as a place to live.

At least, that's the message Ryan Gosling is spreading, explaining to ES Magazine that he feels totally comfortable living in a house where he's in the minority because of his maleness.

"I think women are better than men," Gosling said. "They are stronger, more evolved. You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately."

Gosling shares two infant daughters with companion Eva Mendes, with their younger daughter arriving earlier this year.

The "Notebook" star and frequent internet meme fodder also has made peace with the amount of objectification he finds himself subject to, arguing that his gender has earned it.

"It's our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick," he said. "I grew up with women, so I've always been aware of it. When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory -- a hunt."
