Hundreds pay tribute at Robin Williams memorial service

Hundreds of family, friends and Hollywood colleagues gathered in San Francisco on Saturday to pay tribute to Robin Williams at a private memorial service.

Close friend Billy Crystal hosted the ceremony, according to People, which included tributes from pals Whoopi Goldberg, Bobcat Goldthwait, Bonnie Hunt and his longtime assistant Rebecca Erwin Spencer. Williams' widow, Susan Schneider, also spoke at the service, as did his children Cody, Zelda and Zak.

Other attendees included Williams' "Mork & Mindy" co-star Pam Dawber, George Lucas, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Bette Midler, Penny Marshall, Ben Stiller and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Stevie Wonder performed a musical tribute alongside the GLIDE Ensemble and Change Band while video tributes to his professional and personal lives played for those gathered at the Curran Theatre. A reception followed at the Westin St. Francis Hotel.

Williams died Aug. 11 at the age of 63.
