Rob Morrison, ex NY TV news anchor, arrested again

DARIEN, Conn. - A former anchor for WCBS-TV in New York has been arrested again after police say he violated a protective order in May by calling his wife over 100 times.

The 46-year-old Morrison, of Stamford, Conn., turned himself in to Darien police Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Authorities say the warrant alleges that over the course of several days in May, Morrison placed over 100 calls to his wife, Ashley, at her Darien residence and/or to her cell phone.

Ashley Morrison is a former reporter for CBS MoneyWatch. The couple has a son together.

Rob Morrison is charged with one count of criminal violation of a protective order and one count of harassment in the second-degree. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Morrison was arrested in February 2013 for allegedly choking his wife and resigned from his post at WCBS-TV.
