Report: Cops call son of missing Conn. couple "person of interest"
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Police investigating the disappearance of a Connecticut couple are calling their adult son a "person of interest" and have searched his Bridgeport home, reports CBS affiliate WFSB.
Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin were reported missing on Aug. 7, and two days later their car was reportedly found in a commuter lot.
On Thursday, police told the station that they are questioning the couple's son, Kyle, and plan to issue more search warrants in the case.
The Navin family owned a garbage removal business where Kyle also worked, according to the station.
The couple has reportedly been involved in a long-running court battle over a home they owned in Guilford, Conn. The house was foreclosed on in 2007 and Navin reportedly owes $2.2 million on it.
