Report: Charges to be filed in Holly Bobo case
DECATURVILLE, Tenn. - Charges are expected to be filed Wednesday in connection with the case of long-missing Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo, reports CBS affiliate WTVF.
Decatur County Sheriff's officials confirmed that a special meeting of the grand jury will be convened at 1 p.m. CST. It was not immediately known who would be charged in connection with the case.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they will hold a briefing at 4 p.m. CST at the Decatur County Courthouse in Decaturville. Members of the TBI, FBI, the office of 24th Judicial District Attorney General Hansel McAdams and the Decatur County Sheriff's Office are expected to be in attendance.
Holly Bobo was 20-years-old when she disappeared in April 2011 from her home in Parsons, Tenn., about 110 miles southwest of Nashville. Her brother told authorities he saw a man in hunting clothes leading the 20-year-old into the woods around the family home.On Friday, Zachary Adams, 29, was arrested on an unrelated assault charge as his home was searched in connection with the Bobo case. Adams appeared in court Monday in the unrelated case, in which he's accused of holding a gun to a woman's head at his home Feb. 6 and threatening to "gut" her with a knife, according to WTVF. His bail was set at $1 million.
However, Adams has not been named as a suspect in Bobo's disappearance.
Authorities wouldn't confirm what they were searching Adams' home for, but at least two vehicles were reportedly towed away from the property and a cadaver dog was brought in to aid in the search, CBS affiliate WREG reported.
Adams' property in Decatur County is about 15 miles from Bobo's home.
