Report: 5 stabbed during D.C. New Year's Eve bar fight

WASHINGTON D.C. - Five people were stabbed in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington D.C. overnight and police are investigating the attacks, reports CBS DC.

Four of the stabbings occurred inside District Nightclub on the 2400 block of 18th Street, a popular bar area, and one happened right outside the bar, according to the station.

Investigators say it appears the assaults may have occurred as a result of a large fight that had erupted on the second floor of the establishment as people rang in the New Year.

All the victims, four men and one woman, remain hospitalized but none have life threatening injuries, reports the station.

Police do not yet have any information about possible suspects. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099.
