Rep. Sean Duffy takes on the “Selfie” song

With his original "Real World" audience likely straddling middle age, reality TV star-turned-Rep. Sean Duffy is looking for a new way to connect with youth.

His solution: the "#Selfie" song.

"I'm on my way to a town hall - but first, let me take a selfie," the Wisconsin Republican says in an adaption of the popular music video. Duffy's impressively edited 40-second rendition features him posing in photos with House Speaker John Boehner, Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, Rep. Paul Ryan, his home state Gov. Scott Walker and even Barbara Walters, among others.

Duffy told Mashable he's "jumping on a trend to try to engage my younger constituents."

"They need to know that a lot of what's happening now will impact their futures," he said. "If taking a 'selfie' with the chair of the SEC, Steny Hoyer or Alzheimer's research advocates gets their attention, then it's worth it. Plus, it's fun."

Duffy's not the only congressman on the Hill latching onto hit music: Last month, video surfaced of 74-year-old Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., getting his groove on to Pharrell Williams' "Happy."
