Remains found in Vermont ID'd as missing Connecticut mom

GOSHEN, Vt. -- Nearly one year after a Connecticut woman vanished, Vermont State troopers say the search is over. The medical examiner positively identified remains found Tuesday in Goshen, Vt., as Denise Hart, CBS affiliate WCAX reported.

Hart, the mother of a young boy, was from Hartford, Conn., and was 24 when she disappeared in January during a visit to Sudbury, Vt. She was last seen in Sudbury and her car was found torched nearby.

The medical examiner has ruled her death a homicide, but the exact cause is not clear. Police say their investigation continues.

On a Facebook page dedicated to her missing daughter, Hart's mother, Dedre Robinson, wrote Thursday evening, "I now know. RIP baby. Love you."
