Thousands of red tuna crabs invade California beaches

LAGUNA BEACH-- Thousands of red tuna crabs washed ashore this weekend from Huntington Beach to San Clemente in California, CBS Los Angeles reports.

The tiny crabs on Monday morning could be seen on Laguna Beach.

The crabs are between 1- to 3-inches long and look like small lobsters.

Experts say they're being drawn north from Baja, California by the warmer ocean water.

The crabs are not edible.
