Queen Elizabeth II to visit "Game of Thrones" set

Queen Elizabeth II is trading Buckingham Palace for the Iron Throne.

The British monarch will pay a visit to the "Game of Thrones" set in Belfast during her tour of Northern Ireland next week.

She'll be accompanied by her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, to see where scenes from the hit HBO drama are filmed.

The set visit was announced Wednesday on the British monarchy's official Twitter account.

The royals' Northern Ireland tour will take place from June 23-25.

"Game of Thrones" is estimated to be the biggest TV production in Europe, according to the Belfast Telegraph, with its first four seasons being credited with bringing a direct economic benefit of 82 million pounds ($139 million) to Northern Ireland and creating more than 900 full-time and 5,700 part-time jobs.

"Game of Thrones" finished up its fourth season on Sunday night. The show has been already renewed by HBO for seasons 5 and 6.
