Police search Vermont creek for missing Conn. woman

SUDBURY, Vermont -- Authorities are searching the icy Otter Creek in Cornwall, Vermont for the body of a missing Hartford, Connecticut woman.

Twenty-five-year-old Denise Hart was last seen leaving a friend's home in Sudbury in central Vermont in a borrowed car on the evening of Jan. 25. Police say the car was found burning the following morning at the Cornwall Bridge fishing access.

Hart -- who has ties to Rutland and Addison counties in Vermont -- was reported missing on Jan. 31 and authorities do suspect foul play.

CBS affiliate WCAX-TV reports that the Vermont State Police dive team was using sonar and an unmanned underwater robot to search the creek Wednesday near where the vehicle was found.
