Police: Pennsylvania doctor found stabbed to death in home

SHARON, Pa. - Authorities are investigating after a 64-year-old doctor was found stabbed to death in a vacant western Pennsylvania house she owned.

Search warrants show Dr. Mary Bovier's boyfriend found her body, with a knife by her hand, Wednesday morning at the house in Sharon. That's about 60 miles northwest of Pittsburgh near the Ohio border. Bovier was an osteopath who specialized in geriatric medicine in Masury, Ohio.

The warrants say the house where Bovier died is near another home she shared with her boyfriend and his brother, who saw her alive about three hours before her body was found.

Sharon police have not filed charges but say they have questioned a "person of interest" in Bovier's death.

The investigation continued Friday.
