Police: Oregon homeowner confronts pants-free man in garage

TUALATIN, Ore. - Police in Tualatin, Oregon, arrested a man accused of rummaging through a homeowner's garage while wearing only a shirt.

Officers responded Monday to a report of a "pants-free" driver crashing into a fence, according to police spokeswoman Jennifer Massey. It turns out the man had only parked his car near the fence at an odd angle.

Massey says 43-year-old Mario Hodges of Dundee ran after being confronted in the garage by the homeowner.

She says he grabbed a pair of shorts and was wearing them when he was arrested in a nearby neighborhood. However, his shirt came off somewhere along the way.

Massey says investigators found damage to the homeowner's property and a car at another house.

Hodges was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespass and burglary.
