Officer, wife dead in possible murder-suicide; kids unharmed
LONG BEACH, Calif. — A rookie police officer and his wife have been found dead at their California home in what authorities are calling a possible murder-suicide.
A report of possible domestic violence sent Long Beach officers to the condominium shortly before 10 p.m. Monday.
They found 25-year-old Kyle Kurian and his 22-year-old wife, Greta. Both had been shot. Kurian died at the scene and his wife died at a hospital Tuesday morning.
Officers say the couple’s two children - a baby and a toddler - were unharmed.
Kurian was recently hired as a police officer in nearby South Gate. He previously worked for the Los Angeles Police Department, reports CBS Los Angeles.
