Police: Man arrested, charged in deadly Philly stabbing

PHILADELPHIA -- Police say an argument over a hockey cap turned deadly Sunday, reports CBS Philly.

Police say Steven Simminger and Colin McGovern were fighting over a New Jersey Devils cap when Simminger allegedly slashed McGovern in the chest and ran away.

The incident happened just before 3:30 a.m. outside of a luxury hotel in Philadelphia, according to the station. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Steven Simminger has been charged with murder, according to police.

The suspect and victim did not know each other previously, reports CBS Philly.
