Police: Girl's dad, uncle attack boy who asked her to have sex aboard cruise ship
FORT LAUDERDALE. Fla. -- Investigators in Florida say two men coordinated an attack on a 13-year-old boy aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in August, after the child allegedly asked the daughter of one of the men to have sex, reports CBS Miami.
Police said the boy offered the girl, who is also 13, a key chain in exchange for her virginity. When her father Jason Lawson, 32, and uncle, Arturo Martinez, Jr., 30, found out, they first made the boy apologize, according to the Sun-Sentinel newspaper.
But later, Martinez allegedly cornered the kid and beat him up while Lawson allegedly watched, making sure he couldn't escape.
Charges against both men include battery and false imprisonment, Martinez is also charged with assault and child abuse without great bodily harm.
