Police: Boy, 3, finds gun, accidentally kills self in Flint, Michigan
FLINT, Mich. -- Police say a 3-year-old boy has been found dead in Flint after apparently finding a loaded gun and accidentally shooting himself.
Police say they responded late Wednesday and found the child had been shot. The Flint Journal and WNEM-TV report the boy was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say a preliminary investigation indicated that the child found the unsecured weapon and that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
No arrests were immediately reported.
Police say the death is under investigation.
