Police: Armed burglars enter wrong Fla. home, leave empty-handed

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Deputies say two masked intruders carrying guns burst into an Orlando home, but left soon afterwards once they realized they were inside the wrong house, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

The homeowner and her two teenage children were left unharmed, according to the station. The Orange County Sheriff's Office say that two people knocked on the door early Monday and pushed their way inside.

According to law enforcement, one of the assailants then said, "You know what we are here for," and then searched the home, presumably for money.

The people inside were confused and did not know what was going on, according to CBS affiliate WKMG.

The intruders then drove off in a in a gray older model Chevrolet Impala empty-handed, according to deputies. Officials say the suspects likely targeted the wrong home.

Deputies say the burglars were wearing dark clothing and masks. No other details have been released.
