Police: 2 found dead in Pa. home had lacerations from chainsaw

LOWER MORELAND TWP., Pa. -- Authorities say that two people were found dead by their son -- apparently after having suffered wounds from a chainsaw -- reported CBS Philly.

After receiving a call around 1 p.m. Tuesday from a juvenile who reported finding his parents unresponsive with lacerations from a chainsaw, police were dispatched to a home in Montgomery County. Authorities say one of the deaths is an apparent homicide, according to the station.

Described as a "bloody scene" by Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele, the Lower Moreland Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau have commenced a joint investigation.

Autopsies will be performed on the victims Wednesday. The identities of the deceased have not been released at this time, according to CBS Philly.

The couple reportedly leaves behind three children.
