Paul Walker's daughter posts touching tribute to dad for Father's Day
Paul Walker's memory was alive on the Internet over Father's Day with his daughter Meadow's touching photo tribute.
The only child of the late "Fast & Furious" star, who is now 16, posted a lovely piece of nostalgia to her social media Sunday in honor of her dad, one of several photos she's posted over the past few months. In the photo Walker lies on the floor while affectionately kissing a baby Meadow on the cheek. "Happy Father's Day," She captioned the photo on Instagram.
Walker died in a car accident at age 40 in November 2013 while filming "Furious 7." His brothers, Cody Walker, 27, and Caleb Walker, 37, acted as stand-ins in several scenes, and co-star Vin Diesel had even named his third child Pauline, after Paul. There was also an official tribute for Walker at the end of "Furious 7" with a montage of clips from the six previous "Fast & Furious" movies and a song by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth.
The father and daughter were very close, and only a few weeks before his death Walker had gushed to Us Weekly about how perfectly they were getting along. "I'm glad I had her at 25 because at 40 and 15, we're matching up sweet. It's just working. It's perfect," he said.
The teen was devastated by the loss of her father, yet her grandfather Paul Walker Sr. had assured she was surrounded by love and support. "There's a lot of hugging. A lot of hand-holding," he told E! News.
