Owen Labrie speaking out for first time after rape trial

The former prep school student at the center of a rape trial earlier this year is speaking out for the first time since this summer's verdict.

Owen Labrie was accused of raping a 15-year-old former classmate. After a two week trial, Labrie was acquitted of the more serious felony rape charges, but was found guilty of misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as a felony charge of computer-related seduction. Before his conviction, he was headed to Harvard on a full scholarship.

Now, he faces prison and a lifetime on the sex offender registry.

For the first time, Labrie sat down to talk about the incident that changed his life. The interview appears in the latest edition of Newsweek and the author, Matthew Cooper, joins CBSN to discuss his story and interview with Labrie.
