Online tickets lottery for Broadway's "Hamilton" musical crashes
Trying to grab a spot in the online ticket lottery for the Broadway musical "Hamilton"?
You've probably encountered some crashes and bugs, then.
Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda says he knows the site keeps going down ever since the online lottery went live on Tuesday, but he says his staff is on it.
Miranda has received a deluge of tweets from fans who have been trying to enter the musical's lottery and got error messages. Tuesday was the first day $10 tickets lottery became available online.
The composer made an "Of Mice and Men" joke to his fans.
"Yall petted the lotto so hard ya broke it!" he tweeted. "It's getting back up."
He wrote that while his staff is on the case, he himself is not the person for the job.
"Here I gently remind you that while I have a lotta jobs at Hamilton, none are in the IT Dept," he wrote.
The site went down again at 2 p.m., but "Hamilton's" Twitter account assured fans it would be back up again by 4 p.m., the deadline for lottery entries.
