One year anniversary since remains of Holly Bobo identified
DECATURVILLE, Tenn. -- A year has passed since the remains of 20-year-old Holly Bobo, who went missing more four years ago, was identified on September 8, 2014.
Bobo was first reported missing in April 2011 after her brother told police he last saw her being led into the woods by a man in dressed in camouflage.
Three years later, her partial remains were discovered on September 7, 2014 in a wooded area of Decatur County by hunters - not far from the home of Zachary Adams, one of three suspects now charged in the death of the Tennessee nursing student.
The remains were confirmed to be that of Bobo one day later.
Mark Gwyn, Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, then told reporters that the investigation had been the most expensive and exhaustive in TBI history.
Two other suspects -- Zachary's brother, John Dylan Adams, and Jason Autry -- have also been arrested. In May, all three were charged with the kidnapping and murder of the 20-year-old. They later pleaded not guilty on the charges.
According to CBS affiliate WTVF, prosecutors have decided to seek the death penalty. However, there have been numerous delays.
It could be six months before a trial date will be set, reports the station.
