Omarosa Manigault joins Trump transition team

Omarosa Manigault, the reality television star who made her mark as the in-your-face contestant on the first season of “The Apprentice,” will soon be helping Donald Trump transition to the White House, according to a statement from the transition team.

The transition staff announced a host of new members Thursday in a press statement, including the addition of Manigault.

She will be on the team’s executive committee, which includes several legislators, Trump family members, and incoming White House staffers like the soon-to-be chief of staff, Reince Priebus, and chief strategist Steve Bannon.

Manigault, a vocal advocate for Mr. Trump during his presidential campaign, had previously accompanied the president-elect while on the trail, even serving as his director of African-American outreach.

Earlier this week, reporters spotted the reality television star in the Trump Tower lobby with former NFL players Jim Brown and Ray Lewis, following a meeting with Mr. Trump about urban development issues.

Manigault has been on three seasons of Mr. Trump’s hit show, including “Celebrity Apprentice” and the “All-Stars” edition of the show.
