Obama shows off dance moves at Kenya state dinner

President Obama joined the festivities at a state dinner in Kenya Saturday, cutting an impromptu rug with Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta, U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and sister Auma Obama.

As popular Kenyan band Sauti Sol played one of their afro-pop hits, the president buttoned up his suit jacket and joined the band on stage. The diplomatic entourage proceeded to show off their Lipala Dance moves, a dance made famous by Sauti Sol's "Sura Yako" (Swahili for "your face") song.

The president visited Kenya for the first time since he was elected to the Oval Office. In addition to a busy agenda addressing economic development, counterterrorism, and human rights in the country, the president's trip to his ancestral homeland also included a large family dinner with Kenyan relatives.

"This is personal for me," Mr. Obama said Friday. "There's a reason why my name's Barack Hussein Obama. My father comes from these parts."
