Obama fields question about Bill Cosby during Iran press conference
The president was asked whether he'd revoke the Medal of Freedom awarded to Bill Cosby during a press conference Wednesday.
He first said, "There's no precedent for revoking a medal," and added that his policy was not to comment on the specifics of a case. But then Mr. Obama continued: "I'll say this: if you give a woman - or a man, for that matter - without his or her knowledge a drug and then have sex with that person without consent, that's rape. And I think this country - any civilized country should have no tolerance for rape."
Court documents revealed Cosby admitted under oath that he obtained quaaludes to give to women with whom he wanted to have sex. Since then, Walt Disney World pulled a statue of the comedian from the park, and there's a movement to remove his star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The president's remarks came during a press conference he was holding to talk about the nuclear deal reached in Vienna Tuesday.
