La. toddler, 3, killed while sleeping after gun discharges
NEW ORLEANS -- A 3-year-old boy was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in New Orleans after his grandmother's gun discharged under a pillow where the two were sleeping, reports CBS affiliate WWL.
New Orleans Police investigators say the 45-year-old grandmother is employed as a security guard, and the gun discharged hitting the child in the chest, reports the station.
The 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital but later died.
The grandmother is being questioned by police at this time.
