Explore a 360-degree view of Mars from the Curiosity rover
NASA's Mars Curiosity rover has sent back plenty of fascinating snapshots from the surface of the Red Planet -- but you've never seen anything like this. Thanks to Facebook's 360-degree video feature, Facebook users can scroll through an interactive panorama of the Martian surface.
If you're viewing on a computer monitor, click and drag with your mouse to navigate around the scene. Those who are using the Facebook app can rotate their phones around to get a detailed look at some of Mars's rocky, dune-filled landscape.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg re-posted NASA's video, writing that the space agency used technology created by Facebook's 360 video team to stitch together photos taken by the rover.
"This is just the beginning of what we can do with virtual reality and 360 video," Zuckerberg wrote. "Pretty amazing."
There are some viewing limitations depending on how you're choosing to watch the video. If you're using a computer, make sure you've updated to the latest version of your web browser. It works on Chrome and Firefox, but 360 videos on Facebook can't be viewed on Internet Explorer or Safari.
For those using mobile devices, the interactive video feature works on both iOS and Android phones and tablets. If you're using an Apple device, you have to be using at least an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2, or newer. Those iOS devices also have to be updated to at least iOS 7. Android users have to be using at least Android 4.3.
