MTV VMAs 2016: Drake says he's in love with Rihanna
Drake gave Rihanna quite the tribute during her MTV VMAs 2016 Video Vanguard moment.
The Canadian rapper and former child star helped celebrate the “We Found Love” singer by going above and beyond the call of duty and expressing some long-rumored feelings about her. Drake appeared to be choking up as he presented Rihanna with the award.
“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old,” Drake said as Rihanna smiled.
“She is one of my best friends in the world. All of my adult life I have looked up to her, even though she is younger than me. She is a living, breathing legend in our industry.”
Rihanna, who was the recipient of this year’s Video Vanguard Award, performed several times throughout the night Sunday.
