The Coloradoan reports 38-year-old Julieane Jablonski was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of witness tampering and giving marijuana to a person under the age of 21. She is accused of giving a marijuana brownie to her son, 19-year-old Austin Essig, on April 14.

Officers called to an apartment complex near Colorado State University found Essig injured on the ground. CBS Denver reports the teen had launched himself through one of the apartment complex's plate glass windows.

His injuries were described only as serious but non-life-threatening.

In a post on the Fort Collins Police Services' Facebook page, Essig wrote that he followed the recommended dosage and only ate one marijuana-laced brownie. He wrote that his reaction to the marijuana was "far from normal," reports the station.

Essig didn't say in the post where he got the brownie. According to the station, police say their investigation determined that Jablonski gave her son the brownie.

The 38-year-old faces the tampering charge for allegedly telling her son to lie about where the marijuana came from. Attempts to reach her for comment Thursday evening were unsuccessful.

Authorities reportedly trying to determine the THC level in the brownie Essig ate to see if the level corresponds with the label.
