Ex-UFC star Tito Ortiz jailed for DUI after highway crash

LOS ANGELES, California – Authorities arrested mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz on suspicion of driving under the influence early Monday morning after the ex-UFC champ was involved in a single-car collision on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles, reports the LA Times.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Ortiz struck the concrete center median of the 405 after losing control of his 2012 Porsche Panamera, damaging the vehicle but injuring neither himself nor two other passengers in the car.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.  Ortiz was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday morning.  He was taken to the LAPD’s 77th Division, the CHP reported.
