Mike Pence dismisses Trump's historically low approval rating ahead of inauguration
WASHINGTON -- A new CBS News poll released Wednesday found that only 32 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of Donald Trump.
No president-elect has rated that low since CBS News first polled the question in 1981.
Two days ahead of the inauguration, “CBS This Morning” co-host Charlie Rose spoke with Vice President-elect Mike Pence and asked him about that polling.
“I have to tell you that the polls weren’t always right during the election year. And so I’m a little skeptical about the polls going into inauguration. But I can tell you that the president-elect, and our whole team are ready to go to work, and really just advance the kind of policies that, to borrow his phrase, will make America great again,” Pence said.
More from the interview will air Wednesday night on “Charlie Rose” on PBS, and Thursday morning on “CBS This Morning.”
