"Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" debuts first trailer

The Sundance Film Festival smash hit "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" has just debuted a funny and poignant first trailer.

The film, which won both the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance earlier this year, centers two high school filmmakers (Thomas Mann and RJ Cyler) who befriend a classmate diagnosed with leukemia (Olivia Cooke). Teenage angst, talk of coping with illness and quirky short films abound.

Also starring Nick Offerman, Connie Britton and Molly Shannon, the Alfonso Gomez-Rejon directed project (written by Jesse Andrews, adapting his book of the same name) opens in theaters on June 12.
