Matt Damon stranded on Mars in new trailer for "The Martian"
Matt Damon is stranded on Mars in a new trailer for "The Martian," unveiled Wednesday.
The first teaser came out in June, and this one provides a bigger glimpse into the space rescue mission.
"This will come as quite a shock to my crewmates, and to NASA and to the entire world. But I'm still alive. Surprise!" Damon's astronaut character Mark Watney says in the trailer.
"The Martian," directed by Ridley Scott, also stars Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Kristen Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Michael Pena, Donald Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
"The Martian" lands in theaters on Oct. 2.
