Mariah Carey has bronchitis, cancels Vegas show

Mariah Carey just launched her Las Vegas show, but she's already pulling the plug on a gig because of a bout with bronchitis.

She posted the news on Instagram Thursday, writing, "I've been fighting bronchitis for the past few days.. almost better but on mandatory vocal rest per doctor's orders. I'm so sorry to cancel tonight's show but I promise to make it up to you!!!"

Carey launched her show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last week. She shares The Colosseum's stage with rotating headliners Celine Dion, Elton John and Rod Stewart. The 45-year-old songstress plows through her 18 No. 1 hit singles in chronological order from 1990 to 2008 before winding down with her new ballad, "Infinity."

Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn will set up shop at the Vegas venue in June, July and December.
