Gunman dressed as Darth Vader robs N.C. bank, police say
PINEVILLE, N.C. - A man wearing a Darth Vader-style costume and a mask is being sought in the armed robbery of a Pineville, North Carolina bank on Monday, authorities say, according to CBS affiliate WBTV.
Officials say the robber entered the bank at around 11:45 a.m. with a long gun and demanded money from the teller. Witnesses reportedly describe the robber as a 5'5" black male who was wearing dark clothing.
The masked robber fled the bank in a 4-door gray Chevy Suburban with an undisclosed amount of cash, reports the station. No one was injured.
