Man charged in Maryland college student's murder

BALTIMORE --Police have charged a man in the February stabbing and killing of a Morgan State University student, reports CBS Baltimore.

Investigators say Harry Malik Robertson, 20, stabbed Gerald Williams to death on Feb. 1 just outside the Baltimore college campus. Robertson is charged with first and second-degree murder. He was taken into custody Wednesday night.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said the two had a dispute over a "small, inconsequential amount of money" during a basketball game.

Investigators say witnesses from the school were instrumental in helping police make the arrest.

"Because of that dispute, a 20-year-old college kid is dead and another 20-year-old is charged with murder," Davis said.

Police say the suspect was not a student at the time of the stabbing, but was enrolled at Morgan State in 2015.

Both Robertson and Williams were from the Bowie, Md., area. It is not clear what their relationship was.
