Man accepts UPS delivery, but doesn't live there

FONTANA, Calif. -- Police are trying to identify a man caught on camera stealing packages from in front of a Southern California home, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Surveillance video captured the suspect walking behind bushes on the property and heading toward the front door of the home a little before 6:40 p.m. Monday. As the suspect smoked a cigarette, a UPS driver approached and handed him two packages.

"He was just very calmly waiting for the package and put his hand out, got it and walked away casually," said one of the alleged victims, who asked not to be identified.

Surveillance video from a neighbor's property also showed the UPS driver and the suspect arriving at the residence at the same time in separate vehicles. It's not clear whether the UPS driver knew the alleged thief before the crime occurred.

These particular intercepted packages reportedly contained a pair of shoes and a credit card.
