Lupita Nyong'o luminous in first Lancome ad

The first photo of Lupita Nyong'o as the face of Lancome has arrived, and it's just about as perfect as you'd expect.

Nyong'o shared the image on her Instagram page Wednesday, calling it "the secret I never intended to keep." (Her ads were originally supposed to arrive in September.)

The "12 Years a Slave" star looks radiant in the image, which is promoting the beauty brand's Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation, which is available in 28 different shades of skin tones.

Nyong'o's partnership with Lancome was announced back April. It's just one of the many big things that happened to the 31-year-old actress this year -- along with winning an Oscar, being named People's Most Beautiful, landing a Vogue magazine cover, becoming a fashion darling and joining the cast of "Star Wars: Episode VII."
