Reality TV attorney found dead in Calif. home; Boyfriend arrested

REDONDO BEACH, Calif.- A man is in custody Wednesday on suspicion of murder in the killing of his girlfriend, an attorney and reality TV star, at the home they shared in Redondo Beach, according to CBS Los Angeles.

The station reports that officers responded to the 1900 block of Nelson Avenue sometime after 7:20 a.m. following a call from "a distraught male" who indicated he was arguing with his live-in girlfriend, according to Redondo Beach Police Sgt. Fabian Saucedo.

"Basically indicated that some kind of altercation had taken place," Saucedo said.

When police arrived, they found the woman, identified by friends as 47-year-old Loredana Nesci, dead inside the home, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Nesci was known as the "Legal Diva" and was the star of the Sundance TV reality show, "Loredana, Esq." with her boyfriend, 51-year-old Robert Reagan, and their son, Rocco. Before attending law school in Connecticut, Nesci served as an LAPD officer in the 90s and also competed nationally in weight training, reports the station.

According to the station, neighbors say they saw film crews at the couple's home regularly -- and that they also heard the couple arguing often.

Reagan was reportedly taken into custody soon after police arrived.

Nesci's cause of death has not been disclosed, reports the station, however, investigators say they suspect foul play and were investigating the death as a homicide.

Friends of Nesci were coming to terms with her death on Wednesday night.

"She's gone," said Alex Kyrklund, the victim's friend told the station. "I can only imagine her last moments of absolute terror and pain and probably screaming."

Friends said Nesci and Reagan had been together for years, but recently, Nesci had reportedly met someone new.

Police said the suspect has not made any admissions, and remains in jail with bail set at $1 million.
