Late pizza leads to stabbing near Los Angeles
COVIN, Calif. -- Covina Police said they have arrested a pizza delivery man after he allegedly stabbed a customer during an altercation over a delayed pie.
Officials said that on Saturday around 11:35 p.m. police were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of N. Mangrove to investigate a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers determined a male resident had been stabbed during an altercation with a Domino's Pizza delivery man over the extended delay of a pizza delivery to the home.
The victim, a 20-year-old male, was stabbed in the wrist and neck area. He was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He was later transported to a local trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Michael Charles Parker, of Glendora, was contacted at his place of employment and was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon.
Parker was transported to the Covina Police Department for booking. He was released from custody after posting a $30,000 bail. He is scheduled is arraignment at Citrus Superior Court on March 21.
