Lady Gaga releases new song, "The Perfect Illusion"

Little monsters have been waiting for this moment: Lady Gaga has finally released a new single, called “The Perfect Illusion.”

The last song the pop star dropped was “Til It Happens to You” for the documentary “The Hunting Ground” in 2015; the song was nominated for an Oscar and a Grammy.

Gaga worked with mega producer Mark Ronson, Australian indie band Tame Impala and producer BloodPop on the track.

The singer and her ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney split in July, though Gaga asked fans at the time, “Please root us on.”

But the lyrics on her new song go:
“It wasn’t love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion
Mistaken for love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion
You were a perfect illusion.”

Hm. It sure sounds like an allusion to some relationship, if not the one with Kinney.
