Kristen Stewart opens up on love life: "I'm not ashamed or confused"
Kristen Stewart has tried to keep her private life as private as possible despite the excessive attention its received.
But in Elle magazine’s “Women in Hollywood” issue, the former “Twilight” star wanted to make it clear that when it comes to her current relationship -- with girlfriend Alicia Cargile -- she has nothing to hide.
“I’m not ashamed and I’m not confused,” she said.
Stewart famously dated her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson before Cargile. “Things have changed,” she said. “And not just with me -- we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance and be awesome.”
Despite her earlier policy of not discussing her relationship, Stewart changed her tune when it came to Cargile back in July during an interview with Elle UK: “I think also right now I’m just really in love with my girlfriend,” she said. “We’ve broken up a couple of times and gotten back together, and this time I was like, ‘Finally, I can feel again.’”
