Kim Kardashian West apologizes to Kanye fans, not to locals with damaged property

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West have apologized to fans after the rapper was unable to play a 2 a.m. pop-up concert he announced on social media, but the couple haven't said sorry for wreaking havoc onto the neighborhood surrounding Webster Hall in New York early Monday morning.

West announced that he would be playing a surprise concert at Webster Hall, and the streets were flooded with thousands of eager fans who climbed on cars, dumpsters and scaffolding who hoped to see the rapper. One fan even broke her ankle amidst the chaos, reports CBS New York.

"There was a girl, she had a compound fracture in her ankle," said fan Kevin Woods. "Bone was coming out of her leg, south side of the street. It was pretty bananas."

Another local man, Michael Gomez, told CBS New York that both of his cars were damaged, in addition to other cars in the neighborhood.

"There's no reason to do something like this," he said. "No reason at all."

Kardashian West tweeted that her husband was sorry the show didn't happen because it was "ultimately out of his control," and promised that West would somehow make it up.

CBS New York reports that at least one fan was charged with disorderly conduct.
