Katy Perry sends Safyre Terry, girl who lost family in fire, Christmas gifts

Little girl who lost family in fire has one Christmas wish

Safyre Terry, the 8-year-old who lost her father and younger siblings in an arson fire that left her severely scarred, asked for just one thing this Christmas: Christmas cards to fill up her tree.

She got a lot more than that when her Christmas wish went viral. The young girl received more than a million cards, a personal message from the White House, a trip to Disney World and more than $400,000.

Now, she's also the happy owner of a very special card from pop star Katy Perry, who sent along a care package of Christmas gifts, reports Us Weekly.

Terry is apparently a big fan of Perry's, and has been learning how to play "Roar" on the keyboard. Perry sent her a package filled with goodies, including a hoodie with ears and a backpack attached, a DVD of Katy's Prismatic world tour, Katy's movie "Part of Me," an iPhone 6 case that lights up and black kitty cat accessories, including a coin purse and handbag.

Perry also sent a sweet, handwritten note to Terry: "Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I'll be thinking of you on Christmas Day. Special girl."
