Kathie Lee Gifford posts about loss one year after husband Frank Gifford's death

Kathie Lee Gifford took to social media on Tuesday to write about the one-year anniversary of her husband Frank Gifford's death.

The "Today" personality, who co-hosts the fourth hour of the show with Hoda Kotb, wrote that her faith has helped her cope with her loss. She said that she feels joy thanks to God.

"Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes w/ the morning Psalm 30:5. In loving remembrance of our beloved Frank & faith in His LORD," she wrote.

She also tweeted, "You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning & clothed me w/ joy! Ps30:12 #Gratitude & Praise"

On the Kathie Lee and Hoda Instagram account, a photo of the Gifford couple came with a quote from Kathie Lee on how she's recovered after Frank's passing: "I've gotten through this past year the way I've gotten through every day of my life: faithfully trusting God to do what God does, which is to show up, redeem and restore."

Last August, when Kathie Lee returned to "Today" after Frank died, she talked about how he died instantly and said, "I'm grateful the Lord took him that way. Because the only thing Frank was ever afraid of in his entire life was being a burden to those he loved."

She added, "I just want everybody to know that this is a man who was at complete peace in his life. He might have been the happiest, most content person in the world at this point in his life."

Frank died on Aug. 9, 2015. The former NFL Hall of Famer and sports commentator suffered from a concussion-related brain disease, his family revealed in November.
