Katherine Schwarzenegger opens up about about parents' divorce

Katherine Schwarzenegger, the eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, is finally opening up about her parents split five years ago -- and she has nothing but nice things to say.

"My parents were very, very big on making sure that we remained a family unit no matter what happened, and they did a really good job at that," Katherine said during a visit to "The Talk" Wednesday. "We've remained very, very normal and we just have a lot of love for each other. We're overly obsessed with each other."

Her mother filed for divorce in 2011 after the revelation that Arnold had fathered a child -- 18-year-old Joseph Baena -- with the family's housekeeper.

Despite the divorce, Katherine explained, part of her parents' efforts to maintain that family unit has involved standing by each other for the sake of their four children even though they're no longer together. "They come out together for everything, whether it's a birthday party or a graduation," she said, adding that they're "just very supportive parents in general. They did a great job, both my parents."
