Jury finds teen guilty in ex-boyfriend's murder
OCALA, Fla. -- A north Florida teen has been convicted of first-degree murder for her role in the killing of her ex-boyfriend.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports that jurors took two hours on Thursday to decide that Amber Wright lured 15-year-old Seath Jackson into a mobile home where he was beaten, shot and then burned in a backyard fire pit in 2011.
The trial was the second for Wright, now 19. Her initial conviction was tossed because of an error at her first trial.
Wright is one of four people that have been prosecuted for Jackson's slaying. One other defendant, 23-year-old Michael Bargo, has been sentenced to death, and three others have received life sentences for Jackson's murder.
Wright is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 23.
