Home sales heat up. Existing home sales hit a high note in May, reaching their fastest pace since November 2009. Closings on previously owned homes rose 5.1 percent, driven by first-time buyers.

Road safety. Transparent trucks may soon be hitting the highways, if Samsung gets regulatory approval. So-called "safety trucks" would be equipped with a camera and four small screens to help drivers better see the road and cars around them.
