Jon Stewart mocks media's focus on Caitlyn Jenner's body: "Welcome to being a woman in America"

Jon Stewart to Caitlyn Jenner: Welcome to being a woman in America

Jon Stewart is taking aim at the media for its coverage of Caitlyn Jenner -- specifically, the focus on her looks.

"Caitlyn, when you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen," he said during Tuesday's episode of "The Daily Show." "But now you're a woman and your looks are really the only thing we care about."

Stewart also called out TV pundits who commented on Jenner's body, compared her to other women (like Jessica Lange) and questioned how much her Vanity Fair shoot might have been Photoshopped.

"Look, we want to give a woman a compliment here -- we just need to make sure another woman gets taken down a peg," he quipped.

In closing, Stewart had these words for Jenner: "Congratulations. Welcome to being a woman in America."
